STAFF

 

Our outstanding staff members are highly trained professional educators and mature college students who have a wealth of camping and teaching experience. They help foster Action Camp values of family, friendship and learning in everything they do.

CAMP DIRECTOR

 

The camp director has a backgrounds in teaching, educational leadership or youth development. He is in charge of managing staff and creating age appropriate lesson plans in a wide range of instructional areas such as sports, art, theatre and academic enrichment.

COUNSELORS

 

Counselors are responsible for a group of 15 children on a daily basis. Ensure children’s safety, manage children’s behavior and act as a role model and mentor Model constructive participation in all daily activities Work closely with Division Leader to ensure safety of all children Counselors must be at least 17 years of age. All Counselors must participate in four days of training before camp begins.

EFL TEACHERS

 

EFL teachers are responsible for planning and delivering dynamic and effective lessons to develop students’ listening, speaking and pronunciation skills. Lessons should be student- centred, communicative and based on the activities in the students’ schedules to enable them to participate fully in the course when outside the classroom.

SPORT INSTRUCTOR

 

Sport instructor is specialized in specific activities such as soccer, outdoor education, basketball or tennis. He is in charge to develop age appropriate activities that keep children active and help them develop skills, teamwork and sportsmanship.
He will lead a variety of activities such as ultimate Frisbee, flag football, rugby and lacrosse.

VISUAL AND PERFORMING ART INSTRUCTORS

 

Visual and performing art instructors are specialized in specific activities such as drama, dance, arts and crafts, music, sculpture and more. They are in charge to plan activities that give children the opportunity to express themselves creatively, they facilitate activities that give children a sense of accomplishment that comes from mastering techniques and completing projects.
